Herman’s Training Log - March 22 Update

Got an in person evaluation on the ankle, confirmed the anterior tibialis tendon injury, but no issues with gearing up for a pain tolerance rebuild. Add band exercises to strengthen the injured area.

  • PM - band antagonist pulls x30, stretch right quad, heat/cold ankle in 5min intervals, elevate legs.

Saturday, March 23

  • PM - 60 min upper body lifting (3x10reps moderate - shoulder press, chest press, dips, pull ups, rows, bicep curls), leg curls/extension (3x10), stretch right quad, heat/cold ankle in 5min intervals, elevate legs.

Repeat the above for March 29 through April 4.

Headspace notes: reading Man’s Search for Meaning with great admiration/appreciation for a human’s ability to suffer and endure, although I recognize how the extent of this particular brand of involuntary suffering permanently scars a person (and wondering, at what point does voluntary suffering become too expensive?); shifting primary exercise to morning to allow for a more relaxed evening, which is very nice; and work is pretty demanding at the moment, which is not so nice (nonetheless, extremely manageable).
